Win your way to the WSOP at Full Tilt Poker
Its getting closer to the World Series Of Poker* and here is a walkthrough of the different possibilities Full Tilt Poker offers to get you a seat at the main event. While a lot of the online cardrooms offer different satelites and tourneys that lets you win your way to Vegas, Full Tilt Poker is as always adding a little extra money to the pot. The 40th annual WSOP* starts in just a couple of days and event number 57 which is the $10,000 buyin No Limit Texas Holdem Main Event is scheduled to start Friday July 3rd. The main event will last for 8 days before crowning the final table players. The final table will then be played out between November 7th and November 10th this year.
If you plan on playing in the main event, Full Tilt Poker gives you 10 Million reasons to qualify for a seat through their poker client. Every player that wins a main event seat through the different Full Tilt events is also automaticly entered into the Full Tilt Poker $10 Million Main Event Mania. As is states in the name, if you should end up winning the main event with a seat you got through Full Tilt Poker they will pay you and additional $10 Million in prize money. The money is paid in increments of $1 Million for 10 years to come. In addition you can also get some extra cash if you end up finishing second or third in the event. All the Full Tilt main event packages is worh $12,000 where $10,000 is used for the main event buyin and an additional $2,000 is added to cover travel and other expenses. Different satelites and tourneys runs daily with possibilities for even the smallest of the small players to take a shot at winning a seat.
Ok, so lets start taking a look at the different ways you can win a main event seat through Full Tilt Poker. The first option is the Shootout Qualifiers. Each shootout tournament consists of 81 players at 9 different 9 player tables. Contrary to normal tournaments the shootout will play out each table until only 1 person is left. The 9 table-winners will then meet each other at a Final Table where the winner gets the Main Event seat. Full Tilt Poker runs two of these shootout tournaments every day with a direct buyin of $200+$16. You can also satelite your way to the shootout tourney for as little as $1 or even 50 Full Tilt Points.
Every Tuesday until June 21st Full Tilt runs the $300 Tuesday Main Event Guarantees. This is normal Texas Holdem Multi Table tournaments where two Main Event seats are guaranteed. Direct buyin is $300+$22 and you also satelite your way to these tourneys starting at $1 or 50 Full Tilt Points.
On Wednesdays Full Tilt runs the $200 Main Event Guarentees where one $12,000 Main Event package is guaranteed. Direct buyin is $200+$16 with many different satelite options. Continue on to Thursdays where the $1000+$60 WSOP tournaments run. Each of these Thursday tournaments gurantees 5 seats into the main event. Saturdays brings back the $300 tournament with two guranteed seats and on Sundays they run their $500+$35 tournaments with additionally two seat guaranteed.
If you dont want to spend a single dime to get your Main Event seat you are lucky because Full Tilt Poker also has freerolls that lets you win your way to Las Vegas this year. Every day you can qualify by playing the Main Event Race 1 and 2 Sit n Gos rounds which again gives you a seat in the Sunday Main Event Freeroll Finals. The top 3 in these Sunday finals will get a WSOP* seat with no money invested.
The really crazy tournament is played at June 21st where Full Tilt guarantees 150 seats into the Main Event. It doesnt matter if you finish first or 150th, you still will get a $12,000 WSOP package. This incredible guarateed tournament has a direct buyin of $500+$35 but you can ofcourse also qualify through a wide range of different satelites.
