| What is Rake? |
| Rake is the cut that the pokerroom takes out of every pot played for real money. Most cardrooms charge 5% of the pot with $3 as the maximum total rake. If you play in sit&go`s or multi table tournaments the cardrooms usually add a 10% fee to the buyin. This is also considered as rake and is the way that online pokerrooms make their money. |
| What is Rakeback? |
| Rakeback is simply getting a part of the rake you pay to the online pokerrooms paid back to you. Most serious players pay hundreds or even thousands of dollars in rake every month. If you sign up for a rakeback deal you will get about one third of this back. So, if you pay $1000 in rake and fees in a single month and have a 30% rakeback deal, you will get a $300 paycheck for that month. For many of the big online players, rakeback is a big part of their monthly income. |
| I allready have an account at xyz poker, can i still get rakeback? |
| This varies from room to room but in most cases we will find a solution. Contact us and we will try to help you out. |
| Do i get rakeback on tournament fees? |
| Yes, in most cases tournament fees are included in your rakeback deal. If they are not included you will be informed during signup. |
| How do i get paid? |
| Rakeback is paid directly into your player account, either by us or by the pokerroom. |
| When do i get paid? |
| This varies from room to room. For most rooms you will be paid monthly on or before the 15th in the consecutive month. Information about this is displayed for each room before you signup. |
| Is there a minimum amount i must earn before i get paid ? |
| No, but some cardrooms have a $5 minimum transfer. If the rakeback is paid by us and your earnings is less than $5 it will be rolled over to the next month. Most rooms pay out the rakeback for us and will pay you any amount owed. |
| My rakeback is -2.53 (or similar), is anything wrong? |
| Probably not. Some cardrooms, especially Full Tilt Poker deducts fees from your gross rake when calculating rakeback. This includes deposit/withrawal fees, bonuses, tournament overlay and player points spent in their webshop. Getting a negative rakeback doesnt happen often and if you continue to play you will probably be on the positive side within a day or two. If your rakeback is negative this simply means that the cardrooms has lost money having you as a player. You will not be charged for this in any way and if you continue to play you will soon be earning money from rakeback. |
